Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Daycare Assistant to support the daily operations of our early childhood education. The ideal candidate will have a genuine passion for working with young children, demonstrating patience, creativity, and a strong understanding of childhood development. As a Daycare Assistant, you will play a vital role in creating a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment that promotes learning and growth for children of various ages. Responsibilities Supervise and engage children during activities, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times. Keep things cleaned and organize. Assist lead teachers with lesson planning and implementing age-appropriate educational activities focused on child development instruction. Support classroom management by maintaining organized learning environments and encouraging positive behavior management strategies. Communicate effectively with parents when directed by owner regarding daily activities, progress, and any concerns related to their child's care or development. Assist with diapering, feeding, nap times, and other routine caregiving tasks for infants and toddlers and preschool age. follow schedule and cleaning. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including mandated reporting laws related to child welfare. Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the classroom and play areas in accordance with childcare standards. Support the implementation of inclusive practices for children with disabilities or special needs, including those requiring special education services. Qualifications Prior experience working with children in daycare, preschool, or early childhood education settings is highly desirable. Knowledge of child development principles, childhood development stages, and age-specific needs. Certification in first aid and CPR (Pediatric First Aid) to ensure preparedness for emergencies. Familiarity with classroom experience, behavior management techniques, and early childhood education best practices. Ability to communicate effectively with children, parents, and team members in a respectful and professional manner. Experience working with individuals with disabilities or special needs is an advantage. Strong organizational skills to manage multiple responsibilities in a dynamic environment.
