Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Aftercare Teacher to join our team. In this role, you will work independently, plan and implement age-appropriate activities, support children's social-emotional development, and foster positive relationships with children, families, and staff. This position will start in Septmeber. The hours will be Monday-Thursday 1:30pm-5:30pm with the possibility of a full 8 hours on Friday dependent on parent needs for this upcoming school year. Duties Provide active supervision to ensure the health, safety, and well-being of all children. Plan and facilitate engaging activities that support children's interests, creativity, and development. Use Conscious Discipline strategies to support self-regulation, conflict resolution, and social-emotional learning. Collaborate with parents, guardians, and school staff to support each child's individual needs and progress. Assist with classroom organization, materials preparation, and maintaining a clean and safe environment. Provide basic first aid when necessary and respond promptly to any emergencies or incidents Follow all licensing regulations, program policies, and health and safety procedures. Qualifications Must be Teacher Qualified according to the State of Oregon Early Learning and Care requirements. Strong classroom management skills with the ability to foster a positive learning environment. Knowledge of child development and developmentally appropriate practices. Ability to work independently while maintaining a positive, collaborative team approach. Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with parents, staff, and children. Experience working with preschool-aged children preferred. Certification in First Aid and CPR (or willingness to obtain upon hire) Food Handler's Card Join us in creating a joyful after-school experience where children thrive! Pay:
$16.50 - $22.00 per hour
