Job Overview We are seeking a compassionate and energetic Church Nursery Care Provider to create a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for infants and young children during worship services. In this vital role, you will support families by providing attentive care, fostering positive developmental experiences, and ensuring each child's safety and well-being. Your enthusiasm and dedication will help cultivate a welcoming space where children feel loved, secure, and excited to participate in their spiritual journey. Duties Supervise and care for children in the nursery, ensuring their safety at all times through vigilant child supervision and adherence to safety protocols. Engage children in partnership with church volunteers, with age-appropriate activities that promote early childhood development, including play, storytelling, music, and crafts. Maintain a clean, organized nursery environment that meets health and safety standards, including sanitizing toys and surfaces regularly. Communicate effectively with parents or guardians regarding their child's needs, behaviors, and developmental progress. Follow established policies on child behavior management, ensuring a positive and respectful atmosphere for all children. Respond promptly to any medical or emergency situations using pediatric first aid and CPR skills when necessary. Collaborate with church staff and volunteers to coordinate nursery schedules and special events. Requirements Familiarity with mandated reporting laws related to child abuse or neglect. Ability to manage classroom behavior effectively while creating a warm, nurturing atmosphere. Strong communication skills for parent interaction and teamwork within the church community.
