In this role, you will support the development and well-being of young children by assisting lead teachers in creating a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment. Your enthusiasm and commitment will help foster positive growth, social skills, and early learning foundations for children in our care. Responsibilities Assist lead teachers in implementing age-appropriate activities that promote cognitive, social, and emotional development Supervise children during activities, outdoor play, meals, and rest periods to ensure safety and engagement Support children with daily routines such as diapering, toileting, and handwashing while maintaining proper hygiene standards Foster positive behavior management strategies to encourage cooperation and respectful interactions among children Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's progress, needs, and daily activities Help maintain a clean, organized classroom environment that adheres to health and safety regulations Participate in ongoing training related to child development instruction, first aid, CPR, and mandated reporting laws Skills Experience working with children in daycare, preschool, or similar settings; classroom experience preferred Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices Ability to provide toddler care and infant care as needed with patience and compassion Strong child supervision skills with an emphasis on safety and attentive observation Familiarity with behavior management techniques and classroom management strategies Certification in first aid, pediatric first aid, CPR, or willingness to obtain upon hire Excellent communication skills for effective parent interaction and teamwork within the classroom environment Join us in creating a joyful learning space where every child feels valued and supported!
