In this role, you'll step into classrooms from infants through Pre-K to provide consistency, warmth, and high-quality care wherever it's needed most, joining our warm, inclusive community. What You'll Do Bring seamless continuity: move across classrooms (Infants, Toddlers, Preschool, and Pre-K) to support team ratios and keep the environment predictable and positive for kids. Engage & cultivate: implement play-based, developmentally appropriate curriculum aligned with Oregon's Early Learning standards and VHFLC's child-centered philosophy. Ensure safety & well-being: follow strict health and safety practices — meal/snack routines, safe sleep for infants, and active supervision indoors and out.

Collaborate:
partner closely with the ECE Site Director and classroom teams to adapt to daily center needs.
Oregon ELD Lead Teacher certification, via one of the following: At least 20 semester credits (or 30 quarter credits) in ECE, Child Development, or a related field, OR A minimum of 1 year / 1,500 hours of qualifying teaching experience in a licensed early childhood program. Active enrollment in the Oregon Central Background Registry (CBR).
Current certifications:
Adult & Pediatric First Aid, CPR & AED, and an Oregon Food Handler's Card. Completion of core Oregon ELD trainings: Recognizing and Responding to Child Abuse and Neglect (RRCAN), Infant/Child CPR & Health & Safety (ICCHS), Positive Behavior Support (PBtT), Foundations for Family Life (FFL), and Safe Sleep.
Physical readiness:
able to sit on the floor, lift up to 40 lbs, stay active with children, and shift comfortably between classroom routines throughout the day. Don't have every training completed yet?
