Job Description

Overview We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Daycare Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and a genuine love for working with young children. As a Daycare Teacher, you will play a vital role in fostering a nurturing environment that promotes the social, emotional, and cognitive development of children from infancy through preschool age. Your expertise in classroom management and childhood development will ensure that each child receives the attention and support they need to thrive. Attendance is essential. Working hours 11am-530pm Monday-Friday. Attendance is essential, and must be able to commit working schedule. Paid holidays Responsibilities Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that promote learning through play and exploration. Create a safe, welcoming, and engaging classroom environment for all children. Monitor and assess children's progress, providing individualized support as needed. Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and staff to create a collaborative community. Maintain effective classroom management strategies to ensure a respectful and orderly environment. Provide care for infants, toddlers, and preschool-aged children, including diapering, feeding, and nap supervision. Implement behavior management techniques to address challenges effectively. Collaborate with special education professionals to support children with disabilities or special needs. Maintain accurate records of children's activities, behaviors, and developmental milestones. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred; relevant experience may be considered in lieu of degree. Proven experience working with children in daycare or preschool settings. Knowledge of childhood development principles and best practices in early childhood education. First aid certification is highly desirable; willingness to obtain certification if not currently held. Experience with special education or working with individuals with disabilities is a plus. Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with parents and colleagues. Ability to manage a classroom effectively while maintaining a positive learning atmosphere. Previous experience in caregiving roles such as nannying or babysitting is beneficial.
