Summer Child Care Assistant Teacher / Camp Counselor

Job Summary Diamond Street Early Childhood Center is a medium sized nonprofit Preschool and Childcare Center. We are currently seeking Summer Assistant Teachers and Day Camp Counselors to work at part of a team with groups of children ranging from ages 6 weeks to 10 years old. These position runs from June 2 through August 14, 2026, 32-40 hours per week, M-F.

Qualifications/Requirements:

Must be 18 years old 2 years of child care experience or 30 college credits in education or related field preferred Available to work from June 2 until August 14th (July 3rd off) High energy and the ability to work well with others (staff, children, and parents) and to foster a team environment. Must clear full background check and must pass health screening prior to starting. Must be able to lift 30 lbs. and move freely around a typical classroom, outdoor playground and on active field trips in order to safely supervise the children at all times.
