Duties Develop and implement comprehensive, age-appropriate curriculum focused on early childhood development, literacy, math, physical education, and social-emotional skills. Create an engaging classroom environment that promotes curiosity, independence, and positive behavior management strategies. Lead daily lesson planning and adapt activities to meet the diverse needs of children, including those requiring special education or early intervention services. Foster open communication with parents and guardians through regular updates on child progress, behavior, and developmental milestones. Ensure compliance with mandated reporting laws and maintain accurate records of student progress, assessments, and incident reports. Supervise classroom assistants and volunteers to ensure a safe, organized, and nurturing learning environment. Incorporate best practices in classroom management, child welfare, and health & safety protocols such as first aid and CPR certification. Experience A Minimum of 2 years of experience working with young children in preschool or daycare settings is essential; experience in private schools or early childhood education programs is highly valued. Demonstrated expertise in curriculum development, lesson planning, behavior management, and classroom management techniques. Knowledge of early childhood development principles, standardized testing methods for early learners, and special education strategies including early intervention approaches. Proven ability to communicate effectively with children, parents, staff, and community partners. Experience teaching physical education or integrating movement activities into daily routines is a plus. Familiarity with mandated reporting laws related to child welfare and safety regulations in childcare environments. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple responsibilities while maintaining a lively and positive classroom atmosphere.
