Position is Monday through Friday, 8:30-5:30. Responsibilities include supervision of children inside and outside as well as during nap and lunch, creating and supervising daily activities, maintaining the classroom (basic cleaning and tidying, decorating, changing out classroom materials), monitoring children's development, creating progress reports and conducting parent-teacher conferences, writing monthly newsletters, and other classroom responsibilities as related to the job. Teacher would be working alongside two assistants, and would be responsible for the basic management of said individuals in terms of direction in the classroom. In this position, you have the opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of young children. Applicants must love children! Position requires at least 2 years written documented experience working with children (2,500 hours) in addition to at least a high school diploma, OR at least one year documented experience working with children (1,250 hours) in addition to an Associate's Degree in education, child development, or human service field OR a Bachelor Degree in any of the aforementioned areas. Position is year-round (camp in the summer), and begins ASAP. Paid holidays, winter and spring break. Bonuses available, conditions permitting. Please email the school if qualified and interested.
