Responsibilities Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum plans that incorporate literacy education, math, physical education, and Montessori methods to promote holistic child development. Foster a positive classroom environment through effective behavior management and classroom management strategies that encourage cooperation and respect among children. Support children's social-emotional growth by facilitating activities that enhance communication skills, emotional regulation, and peer interactions. Conduct regular assessments of child development progress using standardized testing tools and document observations to inform individualized lesson planning. Communicate regularly with parents and guardians about their child's progress, milestones, and any concerns regarding child welfare or behavior. Ensure compliance with mandated reporting laws and maintain a safe environment by adhering to first aid and CPR protocols. Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development, early intervention strategies, special education needs, and inclusive practices for diverse learners including toddlers and children requiring additional support. Qualifications Prior experience working with children in a preschool or daycare setting is essential; familiarity with toddler care and early childhood education standards is highly desirable. Demonstrated knowledge of child development instruction, behavior management techniques, classroom management, and childhood development principles. Strong communication skills to effectively engage with children, parents, colleagues, and community partners. Certification in first aid and CPR; additional credentials in special education or Montessori teaching are advantageous. Ability to plan engaging lessons that incorporate literacy education, math concepts, physical activity, and sensory activities aligned with developmental milestones. Experience implementing early intervention strategies for children with special needs or developmental delays is preferred.
