Position Summary The Goddard School of Wexford is seeking a caring, enthusiastic, and dependable Older Toddler Teacher to join our team. In this role, you will create meaningful learning experiences for children approximately 24-36 months of age , helping them build confidence, independence, and foundational skills through hands-on exploration, play-based learning, and nurturing relationships. Responsibilities Create and implement engaging, developmentally appropriate lesson plans using The Goddard School's Wonder of Learning™ curriculum. Foster a warm, welcoming classroom where children feel safe, supported, and encouraged to explore. Support children's cognitive, language, social-emotional, and physical development through purposeful play and daily routines. Build positive relationships with children by encouraging independence, curiosity, and confidence. Use positive guidance and redirection techniques to support appropriate behavior and social skills. Communicate regularly with families about their child's growth, milestones, and daily experiences. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom environment while following all state licensing regulations and health and safety procedures. Complete daily observations, assessments, and classroom documentation. Collaborate with fellow teachers and school leadership to provide the highest quality educational experience for every child. Participate in ongoing professional development and contribute to our positive, team-focused culture. Qualifications Previous experience working with toddlers or preschool-aged children in a licensed childcare center or preschool. Knowledge of child development and developmentally appropriate practices for young children. Strong communication and interpersonal skills with children, families, and coworkers. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a supportive teaching team. CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain). CDA, Associate's, or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field is preferred but not required. Must meet Pennsylvania state childcare licensing requirements.
