A Preschool or Childcare Teacher works with young children, usually ages 3 - 5, to help them learn the social, motor and language skills needed to be ready for kindergarten and elementary school. Organizes activities and uses play or games to help children learn; develops schedules and routines for children that include exercise and rest. Works in a school or in a childcare center or program.

Key Responsibilities:
Curriculum Implementation:
Develop and implement lesson plans and educational activities that promote the physical, social, emotional, and cognitive development of children. Ensure that activities are age-appropriate and align with the center's educational goals and philosophy.
Child Supervision:
Supervise children at all times, ensuring their safety and well-being. Guide and support children's behavior using positive reinforcement and developmentally appropriate discipline techniques.
Environment Management:
Create a clean, safe, and inviting classroom environment that encourages learning and exploration. Organize classroom materials and resources to facilitate active learning and creativity.
Observation and Assessment:
Monitor and assess each child's developmental progress and document observations. Communicate regularly with parents and guardians about their child's growth, achievements, and any concerns.
Professional Development:
Participate in ongoing professional development and training opportunities to stay current with best practices in early childhood education. Collaborate with colleagues and contribute to a positive and supportive team environment.
Compliance:
Adhere to all state licensing regulations and standards for child care centers. Maintain accurate records, including attendance, incident reports, and developmental assessments.
Responsibilities include:
Cleaning and sanitizing assigned classrooms and bathrooms daily, maintaining a safe and hygienic environment for children and staff, and completing any additional tasks as directed by the supervisor.
Skills:
Proven working experience as a child care teacher, Pre-kindergarten assistant, or teacher aide Excellent knowledge of child development and the latest education theories and practices Creative and artistic teaching abilities Teaching and organization skills Patience and flexibility Strong communication skills Keep up with the latest trends and best practices
Requirements:
Education and experience preferred. A valid driver's license or ID. Decisiveness, patience, and stamina to interact with, lift, or carry children. Record of Health Assessment, TB test, and the ability to pass a background check. Exceptional communication, teaching, and interpersonal skills. Strong understanding of stages of childhood development. Attentiveness to the needs and safety of children. CDA(Plus)
