Early Childhood Education Full Job Description Position Summary:
The Assistant Director of Early Childhood Programs supports the daily operations and overall coordination of early childhood programs at Providence Connections. This role ensures compliance with DHS licensing requirements, Keystone STARS standards, and program guidelines for HS, PKC, and EHS. The Assistant Director works closely with the Director to maintain program quality, support staff, and ensure smooth day-to-day operations.Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Manage monthly staff schedules and support daily program operations. Ensure proper classroom coverage and maintain required staff-to-child ratios. Track PTO and adjust schedules accordingly. Support compliance with DHS, Keystone STARS, and CACFP requirements. Monitor staff training hours and ensure completion of mandated reporting. Distribute and collect DHS, health, and safety checklists. Assist with licensing documentation, audits, and program inspections. Coordinate early childhood programming including field trips, screenings, and events. Maintain accurate program records and data entry in Child Plus systems. Support communication with families and staff. Order classroom materials and supplies as needed. Coordinate fire drills and ensure safety procedures are followed. Support staff performance and program quality standards. Assist with non-traditional programming and grant-related activities. Support front desk operations as needed. Participate in evening hours as required for fundraising events and program engagement activities. Perform other duties as assigned.Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in early childhood education or related field preferred. Experience in early childhood programs required. Knowledge of DHS and Keystone STARS standards. Strong organizational and communication skills. CPR and First Aid Certification. Required clearances (PA Child Abuse, FBI, PSP).Pay:
$50,000.00 - $55,000.00 per yearBenefits:
