Requirements:

• Candidates with Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, Child Development or related degrees are preferred.
• Candidates without designated degrees should have a CDA credential or equivalent (12 credits in Early Childhood Education or a related field) and two years' experience.
• Act 33/34, FBI and NSOR clearances and physical/TB test
• Proficient computer skills with the ability to use Microsoft Word, Outlook and the

Internet Responsibilities:

• Follow best practices for keeping children healthy and safe in Center-based care, following all licensing and regulatory policies and procedures related to PA Department of Human Services (DHS), Keystone STARS and National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC)
• Supervise children at all times including naptime, mealtime, and toileting times
• Use positive, sensitive and consistent encouragement with children
• Develop classroom lesson plans which provide children with a variety of developmentally appropriate and engaging experiences that are responsive to children's needs
• Apply strong and appropriate classroom management skills
• Engage in professional growth activities to improve professional and personal skills
