Job Summary NurtureR's By Nature Early Learning Childcare Center is seeking a passionate, dependable, and experienced Older Toddler Teacher to lead our 2-year-old classroom. The ideal candidate will create a nurturing, engaging, and developmentally appropriate learning environment that supports children's social, emotional, cognitive, and physical growth. This position requires a self-motivated educator who can independently manage classroom operations, implement curriculum, conduct child assessments, support potty training, and maintain positive communication with families. We are seeking a natural leader who takes ownership of their classroom and can effectively carry out daily responsibilities with minimal supervision. Duties Implement and carry out daily lesson plans and classroom activities. Promote children's development across social, emotional, cognitive, language, and physical domains. Support children through active potty-training routines. Assist children with self-help skills, including handwashing, teeth brushing, dressing, and mealtime routines. Conduct ongoing child observations, assessments, and developmental documentation through the center's assessment platform. Monitor children's progress and use assessment data to guide instruction and individualized learning experiences. Create and maintain a safe, organized, and welcoming classroom environment. Maintain classroom cleanliness, organization, and compliance with health and safety standards. Foster positive relationships with children through active engagement, encouragement, and responsive interactions. Communicate professionally and effectively with families regarding children's progress, development, and daily experiences. Manage classroom routines, transitions, and behavior using developmentally appropriate practices. Collaborate with team members and administration to support program goals and classroom success. Follow all DHS regulations, Keystone STARS standards, and center policies and procedures. Participate in professional development and required training opportunities. Experience Experience working with children ages 1-3 years in a childcare, daycare, preschool, or early learning environment. Knowledge of child development and developmentally appropriate practices. Experience implementing curriculum and conducting child assessments. Strong classroom management and behavior guidance skills. Experience supporting potty training and fostering independence in young children. Ability to work independently and manage classroom responsibilities without constant supervision. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to build positive relationships with children, families, and coworkers. CDA, Associate Degree, or Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field preferred. Current clearances and required childcare certifications, or willingness to obtain them. Pay:
$15.00 - $19.00 per hour
