Pre-K Teacher (Ages 3-5) NurtureR's By Nature Early Learning Childcare Center Job Summary NurtureR's By Nature Early Learning Childcare Center is seeking an enthusiastic, dependable, and experienced Pre-K Teacher to lead and inspire children ages 3-5 as they prepare for kindergarten and lifelong success. The ideal candidate is a strong classroom leader who can independently manage daily classroom operations, implement curriculum, assess children's progress, and create engaging learning experiences that support school readiness. We are seeking educators who are passionate about teaching, understand child development, and can foster a structured, nurturing, and academically enriching environment. This position requires a teacher who takes ownership of their classroom, communicates effectively with families, and consistently promotes positive learning experiences while maintaining high standards of professionalism. Duties and Responsibilities Plan and implement developmentally appropriate lesson plans aligned with school-readiness goals. Support children's growth in literacy, math, science, social studies, social-emotional learning, and physical development. Conduct ongoing child assessments and developmental observations through the center's assessment platform. Use assessment data to individualize instruction and support children's developmental needs. Prepare children for kindergarten by fostering independence, problem-solving, communication, and critical thinking skills. Lead engaging circle times, small-group instruction, and hands-on learning activities. Promote positive behavior and classroom expectations using developmentally appropriate guidance techniques. Maintain a safe, clean, organized, and welcoming classroom environment. Complete required documentation, lesson plans, assessments, and classroom records in a timely manner. Communicate professionally with families regarding children's progress, development, and daily experiences. Collaborate with administration and fellow teachers to support program goals and center-wide initiatives. Ensure compliance with DHS regulations, Keystone STARS standards, and center policies and procedures. Participate in professional development, staff meetings, and required training opportunities. Qualifications and Experience Minimum of 2 years of experience working with preschool or Pre-K children. Knowledge of early childhood development and school-readiness standards. Experience implementing curriculum and conducting developmental assessments. Strong classroom management and leadership skills. Ability to independently manage classroom responsibilities with minimal supervision. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. CDA, Associate Degree, or Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field preferred. Current clearances and required childcare certifications, or willingness to obtain them. Pay:
$15.00 - $19.00 per hour
