Responsibilities Create engaging lesson plans that align with developmental milestones and curriculum standards, incorporating literacy education, math, physical education, and Montessori methods. Implement age-appropriate activities that promote social-emotional growth, cognitive development, and physical coordination among children. Manage classroom behavior with positive reinforcement strategies to foster a respectful and inclusive environment. Support children with special educational needs through early intervention techniques and individualized instruction. Ensure compliance with mandated reporting laws by accurately documenting observations and incidents related to child welfare. Maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment that encourages exploration and learning. Collaborate with colleagues and families to support each child's unique developmental journey and communicate progress effectively. Skills Strong knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices. Experience in curriculum development, lesson planning, and classroom management tailored to preschool or daycare settings. Proficiency in working with children of various ages, including toddlers and preschoolers, with an understanding of behavior management techniques. Familiarity with special education strategies, early intervention programs, and standardized testing methods. Excellent communication skills to engage effectively with children, parents, staff, and community partners. Knowledge of mandated reporting laws related to child welfare and safety regulations.
