Monday-Friday, 7:30 AM-3:00

Follows the School District Calendar Stepping Stones Preschool is seeking an enthusiastic, creative, and experienced Pre-K Counts Lead Teacher to join our team at Westfield Elementary School . We are looking for an educator who is passionate about early childhood education and understands that a successful Pre-K classroom should be engaging, nurturing, organized, and fun. The ideal candidate will bring energy and creativity into the classroom while maintaining the structure and professionalism required of a Pennsylvania Pre-K Counts program. Qualifications Pennsylvania Pre-K-Grade 3 certification or comparable certification/credential preferred , or a Bachelor's degree that meets applicable Pre-K Counts requirements Creative Curriculum experience is required Knowledge of Pennsylvania childcare licensing and early childhood education requirements Experience working with preschool-aged children Strong classroom management, organizational, and communication skills Comfortable using technology for family communication, documentation, and classroom engagement Professional, personable, energetic, and comfortable interacting with current and prospective families Classroom & Pre-K Counts Responsibilities Plan and implement engaging, developmentally appropriate lessons using Creative Curriculum Create a warm, interactive classroom where children are encouraged to explore, communicate, build independence, and develop a love of learning Complete required observations, assessments, lesson plans, and Pre-K Counts documentation Maintain classroom practices that meet Pre-K Counts and Pennsylvania childcare licensing requirements Monitor children's developmental and academic progress and communicate regularly with families Maintain an organized, safe, clean, and welcoming classroom Collaborate with teaching assistants, administrators, families, school personnel, and other professionals supporting students Participate in required professional development, trainings, meetings, and program activities Assist program as it undergoes STARS rating Family Communication & Technology Stepping Stones utilizes Procare and other engagement platforms to maintain strong communication with our families. The Lead Teacher will be expected to: Use Procare consistently for classroom and family communication Share appropriate classroom updates, activities, reminders, photos, and important information Maintain timely and professional communication with families Help create an environment where families feel informed, welcomed, and connected to their child's school experience Marketing & Community Engagement Our teachers play an important role in helping their school grow. This position will also assist with marketing, enrollment, and community outreach efforts , including: Helping promote Stepping Stones Preschool through approved social media content Capturing and sharing engaging classroom activities and special events for marketing purposes, while following all privacy and photo-permission requirements Assisting with vendor fairs, community events, open houses, family events, and enrollment activities Representing Stepping Stones Preschool professionally and enthusiastically within the Westfield community Helping showcase what makes our classrooms and programs special to prospective families Supporting enrollment initiatives and helping build positive relationships with current and prospective families What We're Looking For We want someone who does more than simply teach a lesson.
