Job Description

Overview Join our dedicated team as a Child Care Assistant and play a vital role in nurturing and supporting the development of young children. In this energetic and rewarding position, you will create a safe, engaging, and educational environment for children across various age groups, including infants, toddlers, preschoolers, and children with special needs. Your enthusiasm and compassion will help foster growth, curiosity, and confidence in every child you care for. Responsibilities Assist in supervising children during daily activities, playtime, meals, naps, and educational sessions to ensure safety and engagement Support classroom management by implementing age-appropriate activities that promote learning, social skills, and emotional development Provide attentive infant and toddler care, including feeding, diapering, and comforting as needed Collaborate with lead teachers or specialists to develop individualized plans for children with disabilities or special needs Maintain a clean and organized environment by sanitizing toys, equipment, and classroom spaces regularly Support behavior management strategies that encourage positive interactions and respectful behavior among children Administer basic first aid when necessary and respond promptly to emergencies following established protocols Communicate effectively with parents or guardians about their child's progress and daily experiences Experience Prior experience working with children in settings such as daycare centers, preschools, babysitting, nannying or similar environments is highly valued Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education practices is preferred Experience working with individuals with disabilities or special education needs is a plus Classroom experience involving behavior management techniques enhances your ability to support diverse learners Certification in first aid and CPR is advantageous but can be obtained upon hire if not already certified Familiarity with childcare safety standards and caregiving best practices ensures a secure environment for all children Join us to make a meaningful difference in children's lives through compassionate caregiving and engaging educational support. $14.00 - $16.00 per hour
