Job Description

Preschool Assistant Director Do you love working with young children and creating a joyful, nurturing learning environment? We're seeking a passionate, organized, and faith-driven Preschool Teacher / Assistant Director to help lead and support a vibrant preschool community. This is a Direct Hire position. About the Role This program serves children ages 3-5 in a part-time, play-based setting (Monday-Thursday, 9:00-11:30 AM). This hybrid role blends hands-on teaching with leadership responsibilities, totaling approximately 20 hours per week. Pay is $20.50. This position follows a school-year schedule (Labor Day-Memorial Day), with some additional hours before and after the season for preparation and end-of-year wrap-up. What You'll Do Partner closely with the Preschool Director to support daily operations and program goals Step into a leadership role when the Director is unavailable Plan and lead engaging, developmentally appropriate lessons Support children's growth—academically, socially, and emotionally Build strong, positive relationships with families, staff, and students Help maintain a safe, welcoming, and well-organized environment Participate in staff development and ongoing training What You Bring A strong Christian faith and a heart for working with children Associate's degree in Early Childhood Education/Child Development (Bachelor's preferred) 1-2 years of early childhood teaching experience Strong communication, organization, and leadership skills Comfort with basic technology (Microsoft Office, social media, etc.) CPR & First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain) A collaborative, team-oriented mindset and a warm, relational approach Additional Expectations Maintain consistent, reliable attendance Complete required training (including child safety and licensing standards) Pass a background check in accordance with child protection policies Please apply directly to this posting.
