  • Part-time Job Summary Join our vibrant mobile kids fitness team, Firefly Fitness as an Early Childhood Gymnastics Coach Assistant, where your enthusiasm and dedication will help young children develop essential motor skills, confidence, and a love for physical activity.
In this role, you will support certified coaches in delivering engaging, safe, and age-appropriate gymnastics classes for preschoolers and early learners. Your positive energy and commitment to childcare will create a fun and nurturing environment that encourages mindfulness, emotional and physical growth, teamwork, and healthy habits from a young age. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience in sports coaching, teaching physical education, and working with children in a dynamic fitness setting. Duties Assist lead coaches in planning and executing age-appropriate gymnastics activities that promote coordination, balance, and strength. Support children during class by encouraging participation, demonstrating exercises, and ensuring safety at all times. Help in maintaining a positive and inclusive class atmosphere. Maintain a clean, organized gym environment by setting up equipment and ensuring all areas are safe for young learners. Engage with children using fun activities inspired by yoga, dance, gymnastics and cheerleading to build confidence and discipline. Support instructors in monitoring children's progress and providing positive reinforcement to foster motivation. Contribute to creating an energetic, lively atmosphere that motivates children to enjoy physical activity while learning new skills. Requirements Prior experience or interest in sports coaching, teaching physical education, or childcare is highly desirable. Knowledge of gymnastic, dance, yoga and cheerleading, is beneficial. The ability to guide young children positively In a gentle, encouraging, respectful, supportive and responsible way. Experience working with preschoolers is preferred. A love for working with preschoolers is require. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team. Enthusiastic attitude with a passion for helping children develop physically and socially through active play.
