Early Childhood/Elementary Teacher, Middle School Social Studies Teacher

```Duties```

• Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with the social studies curriculum
• Teach social studies to students using various instructional strategies and techniques
• Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes learning and respect
• Assess student progress and provide timely feedback on assignments and assessments
• Utilize technology and other resources to enhance instruction and student learning
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement interdisciplinary projects and activities
• Provide guidance and support to students in their academic and personal growth
• Foster critical thinking, problem-solving, and analytical skills in students through social studies education ```Requirements```
• Bachelor's degree in education or a related field
• Valid teaching certification in social studies or a related subject area
• Experience teaching social studies at the middle or high school level preferred
• Knowledge of special education strategies and accommodations for diverse learners
• Strong curriculum development skills, including the ability to design engaging lessons and assessments
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including proficiency in writing according to the Chicago Manual Style
• Ability to effectively manage student behavior and create a positive classroom culture
• Knowledge of linguistics and its application to language development in social studies education
