Job Description
Job Summary Join our dedicated team as an Assistant Childcare Provider, where your enthusiasm and nurturing spirit will make a meaningful difference in the lives of children. In this role, you will support licensed childcare professionals by creating a safe, engaging, and educational environment for children across various age groups, including infants, toddlers, preschoolers, and children with special needs. Your energy and compassion will help foster growth, curiosity, and confidence in every child you care for. Responsibilities Assist with supervising children during play, meals, naps, and learning activities to ensure safety and engagement. Support classroom management by implementing activity plans that promote developmentally appropriate learning experiences. Help maintain a clean, organized, and safe environment in accordance with health and safety regulations. Provide attentive care to infants and toddlers, including feeding, diapering, and comforting as needed. Collaborate with lead teachers or childcare professionals to observe children's progress and document developmental milestones. Support children with special needs by applying inclusive teaching strategies and behavior management techniques. Participate in ongoing training related to childhood development, first aid, and working with individuals with disabilities to enhance caregiving skills. Experience Prior experience working with children in daycare, preschool, babysitting, nannying or similar settings is preferred. Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices is highly valued. Experience caring for infants and toddlers, including infant care routines such as feeding and diapering. Familiarity with classroom experience or managing activities for young children helps ensure a smooth caregiving process. Certification in first aid or CPR is a plus; ongoing training in behavior management or special education is advantageous. Demonstrated ability to work effectively with children of diverse backgrounds and abilities is essential. Strong communication skills and a caring attitude are key to building trusting relationships with children and families.
