Job Description
Clinical Assistant Professor of Early Childhood Education Lander University Lander University's College of Education invites applications for a Clinical Assistant Professor with expertise in Early Childhood Education. We seek a collaborative, student‑centered educator committed to high‑quality teacher preparation and service to the university and profession. The successful candidate will contribute to our growing Early Childhood CAEP-accredited educator preparation program and help prepare future teachers to meet the needs of diverse PreK-3 learners. Primary Responsibilities Teach graduate and/or undergraduate courses in Early Childhood Education, such as: Child Development, Curriculum, planning, and assessment in ECE, Classroom management, and supportive learning environments. Supervise teacher candidates in field experiences. Provide academic advising to undergraduate and/or graduate students. Participate in program development, assessment, and continuous improvement activities. Contribute to departmental, college, and university committees and initiatives. Collaborate with area schools, community partners, and professional organizations. Required Qualifications Masters degree plus 30 hours (MA+30) in Early Childhood, Teaching and Learning or other education related field. Evidence of successful teaching experience in early childhood (PreK-3). Commitment to teaching excellence and working with diverse student populations. Preferred Qualifications Doctorate (Ph.D., Ed.
D.) in Early Childhood, Curriculum and Instruction, or other education related field. Experience teaching at the university level. Experience with supervision of teacher candidates. Demonstrated potential for scholarly productivity. Familiarity with CAEP standards and accreditation processes.
