Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a passionate and dynamic Preschool Lead Teacher to inspire young learners and foster a nurturing, engaging, and educational environment within our faith-based Christian early childhood program . As a key leader on our team, you will design and implement developmentally appropriate curriculum, manage classroom activities, and support the social-emotional and spiritual growth of children. Our center is rooted in Christian values, and we strive to create a loving, Christ-centered atmosphere where children learn not only academic skills, but also kindness, respect, compassion, and faith-based character principles. Your enthusiasm for early childhood development and your commitment to modeling Christian values will help create a positive foundation for each child's learning journey, ensuring they thrive academically, socially, emotionally, and spiritually. Duties Lead lessons that are aligned with early childhood education standards, including literacy, math, physical education, and age-appropriate Christian teachings such as Bible stories and character development. Lead daily classroom activities that promote curiosity, creativity, social skills, and Christ-centered values among preschoolers. Manage classroom behavior through positive reinforcement strategies and effective behavior management techniques while modeling kindness, patience, and respect rooted in Christian principles. Collaborate with families to communicate children's progress and address individual needs related to special education or early intervention programs, supporting academic, social-emotional, and spiritual growth. Oversee classroom management to ensure a safe, organized, nurturing, and Christ-centered environment conducive to learning. Incorporate curriculum development practices that support childhood development milestones and foster a love of learning grounded in strong moral character. Supervise assistant teachers and support staff, providing mentorship in classroom management, lesson planning, child welfare best practices, and faith-based leadership. Maintain compliance with licensing regulations and standards for childcare centers and private schools while upholding the mission and values of our faith-based program. Utilize assessment tools to monitor student progress and tailor instruction accordingly. Engage in ongoing professional development in areas such as literacy education, behavior management, early childhood development, and faith-integrated teaching practices to enhance effectiveness. Experience Proven experience working with children in preschool or daycare settings. Classroom management experience that showcases the ability to create an inclusive environment supporting diverse learners. Knowledge of childhood development principles and early intervention practices to support children with special needs or developmental delays. Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with families, colleagues, and community partners. Prior daycare experience preferred; familiarity with toddler care is a plus.
