Job Description

•Part-Time Preschool Assistant Beginning August 2026-2027 School Year• Job Overview Join our vibrant early childhood education team as a Preschool Assistant, where your enthusiasm and dedication will help create a nurturing, engaging, and safe environment for young learners. In this role, you will support lead teachers in implementing educational activities, managing classroom routines, and fostering positive social and emotional development. Your energy and compassion will inspire children to explore, learn, and grow during their formative years. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of preschoolers while developing your skills in early childhood education. Responsibilities Assist lead teachers with lesson planning and delivering age-appropriate educational activities that promote literacy, math, and social skills Support classroom management by maintaining a positive environment and encouraging good behavior through effective behavior management strategies Supervise children during classroom activities, outdoor play, mealtimes, and nap times to ensure safety at all times Engage children in developmental activities tailored to their individual needs Help with classroom organization, including setting up learning materials and maintaining a clean, inviting space Maintain a clean and safe classroom, bathrooms and commons areas Skills Strong understanding of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices Experience working with young children in daycare, preschool, or private school settings Knowledge of special education techniques and working with individuals with disabilities or autism spectrum disorder Proficiency in lesson planning for literacy education, math concepts, and curriculum development Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and families Classroom management expertise to foster a respectful and engaging learning environment Ability to work well with children of various ages, including toddlers and preschoolers Familiarity with behavior management strategies to promote positive social interactions Embark on a rewarding journey where your passion for teaching young minds can flourish!
