The Learning Tree Child Development Center is seeking a dependable, caring, and energetic Support Staff to join our team. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with children of all ages and is flexible, positive, and a team player. As a floater, you will provide support throughout the center by assisting teachers in maintaining a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment while helping classrooms run smoothly each day.

Responsibilities:

Assist lead and assistant teachers with daily classroom activities. Supervise and engage children in age-appropriate learning experiences. Help implement hands-on activities using The Creative Curriculum. Support children's social-emotional growth through positive guidance and encouragement. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom environment. Assist with meals, snacks, diapering, toileting, and rest time as needed. Help with playground supervision and transitions throughout the day. Fill in for classroom staff as needed. Build positive relationships with children, families, and coworkers. Follow all state licensing regulations and center policies.

Qualifications:

18 years of age or older High school diploma or GED required. Previous experience working with young children is preferred but not required. Must be dependable, flexible, and able to work well as part of a team. Strong communication and organizational skills. Must be able to pass all required background checks. Must meet all Tennessee licensing requirements for employment in a child care center.
