Job Description

Tiny Scholars Learning Center is seeking a dependable, nurturing, and energetic childcare teacher to join our team. This position may include opening the center at 5:30 a.m., so punctuality, reliable transportation, and consistent communication are essential.
Responsibilities:
Arrive on time and remain dependable for scheduled shifts Open and prepare the center or assigned classroom for the day Maintain a safe, clean, organized, and welcoming classroom Actively supervise children and maintain required staff-to-child ratios Follow daily classroom schedules, routines, and lesson plans Lead developmentally appropriate learning activities Assist with meals, diapering, toileting, rest time, and transitions Complete attendance, name-to-face counts, and required documentation Communicate professionally with parents, coworkers, and management Follow all Tiny Scholars and Tennessee DHS policies and procedures
Qualifications:
Must be at least 18 years old High school diploma or GED required Previous experience in a licensed childcare center preferred Must pass all required background checks Must meet physical and health-screening requirements CPR/First Aid certification and TECTA training preferred; willingness to complete required training is necessary Must have reliable transportation Must be able to lift at least 40 pounds and safely perform childcare duties Must be dependable, professional, patient, nurturing, and coachable
Attendance and Communication Expectations:
This position requires excellent attendance and punctuality. Employees must immediately notify management whenever an emergency or other issue may prevent them from reporting to work on time. Failure to report for a scheduled shift without proper notification may result in disciplinary action, up to and including termination.
Pay:
$12.00 - $15.00 per hour
