Infant/Toddler Teacher Calvary Young Children's School (CYCS) in the Green Hills area of Nashville is seeking a caring, experienced, and passionate Infant/Toddler Teacher to join our team. CYCS is a DHS-licensed preschool serving children ages 6 weeks through 5 years in a nurturing Christian environment. Pay:
$17-$19 per hour based on education and experience
Schedule:
Full-time, Monday-Friday (preferred hours 8:30 a.m.-5:30 p.m.) Responsibilities Provide warm, responsive, and attentive care for infants and toddlers throughout the day Create a safe, nurturing, and engaging classroom environment Plan and implement developmentally appropriate activities that encourage exploration, language development, and early learning through play Support children's social, emotional, cognitive, physical, and spiritual development Build positive relationships with children, families, and coworkers through open communication and collaboration Follow individualized feeding, sleeping, and care routines while maintaining consistency and meeting each child's needs Diaper, assist with toileting, and maintain appropriate health and sanitation practices Supervise children at all times and ensure a safe learning environment Maintain accurate daily reports and classroom documentation Follow Tennessee DHS licensing regulations and CYCS policies and procedures Qualifications Experience working with infants and/or toddlers in a licensed childcare or preschool setting Warm, patient, and nurturing approach to caring for young children Ability to work collaboratively as part of a teaching team Strong communication and organizational skills Commitment to ongoing professional growth and training Knowledge of Tennessee DHS licensing regulations preferred CDA, Associate's Degree, Bachelor's Degree, or coursework in Early Childhood Education preferred Benefits Competitive pay based on education and experience Health, dental, vision, and life insurance options Retirement plan and 401(k) eligibility 50% childcare discount for full-time employees Paid holidays Paid Christmas Break and Spring Break Paid Time Off (PTO) Professional development opportunities No evenings or weekends If you are passionate about nurturing young children during their earliest years and want to be part of a supportive, faith-based school community, we would love to hear from you.
