Daycare Worker/Teacher 701 East Railroad Street, Waverly, TN 37185 $10.50 - $12.50 an hour - Full-time $10.50 - $12.50 an hour - Full-time Job Overview Join our vibrant early childhood education team as a Daycare Worker/Teacher, where your enthusiasm and dedication will foster a nurturing environment for young learners. In this role, you will engage with children across various age groups, from infants to preschoolers, supporting their developmental milestones through playful learning and attentive caregiving. Your energetic approach will help create a positive, safe, and stimulating space where children can thrive and explore their world. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on children's lives while developing your skills in early childhood education and classroom management. Duties Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that promote social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development for children in your care Supervise children during playtime, meals, naps, and learning activities to ensure safety and engagement Foster a positive classroom environment through effective behavior management and classroom organization Provide nurturing infant and toddler care, including feeding, diapering, and comforting as needed Support children with special needs or disabilities by adapting activities and providing individualized attention in collaboration with specialists Maintain accurate records of children's progress, attendance, and any incidents or health concerns Communicate regularly with parents or guardians about their child's development and daily experiences Qualifications Prior experience working with children in a daycare, preschool, nannying, babysitting, or similar setting is highly preferred Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices Certification in first aid and CPR is required; additional training in special education or working with individuals with disabilities is a plus Strong classroom management skills to foster positive behavior and create a safe learning environment Ability to handle multiple responsibilities with energy, patience, and enthusiasm Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with colleagues and families Flexibility to adapt to the evolving needs of children and the daycare environment Join us in shaping young minds through compassionate caregiving and engaging teaching!
