We are seeking our next Part-time Child Care Classroom Support Assistant who will be all-in on our mission and who will perform a variety of clerical and administrative tasks to support the operations of the assigned program/department and facilitate smooth office procedures.
DESCRIPTION
The Classroom Teacher Assistants for our HAGY will provide support in childcare center classrooms to children and to the Early Learning Teacher.
EDUCATION
Required:
Highschool Diploma or GED Preferred:
Some College coursework in a related field
EXPERIENCE
Required:
One (1) year of experience working in the Early Childhood profession.
Preferred:
Two (2) years' Experience working in the Early Childhood profession.
CERTIFICATES AND LICENSES
Preferred:
Food Safe Manager, CPR and First Aid.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
Clear background history. Complete 38 clock hours of training each year. In accordance with Texas state law and licensing rules of the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services, persons employed in this position will be subject to a Child Care Criminal History Check (TDPRS Form 2971), FBI Fingerprinting, and Tuberculosis test. Build positive relationships with children, families and staff. Assist staff, students, and administrative personnel. Work under the supervision of the Early Learning Teacher. Provide a safe environment for performance of work and play. Greet visitors and students. Answer phone calls and route them to the correct person. Promote and protect children's health by keeping classroom sanitized and following proper health codes. Maintain effective office organization and accurate record management. Assist staff with both long and short-range activities in accordance with curriculum objectives, developmentally appropriate practice and program philosophy. Assist with laundry, kitchen, and perform other duties. Perform other work-related duties as required.
