In this role, you will create a vibrant, engaging classroom environment that promotes growth, curiosity, and a love of learning. Your expertise will help children develop essential skills across various domains, including social-emotional development, literacy, numeracy, and physical activity. You will work closely with families and colleagues to ensure each child's unique needs are met, fostering a safe and stimulating space where children can thrive. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on early childhood education and support the development of future learners. Responsibilities Design and implement developmentally appropriate lesson plans aligned with early childhood education standards and curriculum frameworks such as Montessori or other pedagogies. Foster a positive classroom atmosphere that encourages social interaction, cooperation, and emotional regulation through effective behavior management strategies. Support children's literacy education by engaging them in reading activities, phonics exercises, and storytelling sessions tailored to their individual levels. Conduct assessments to monitor childhood development progress, including standardized testing when applicable, and adjust teaching strategies accordingly. Collaborate with families to communicate children's progress, address concerns, and develop individualized plans for children requiring special education or early intervention services. Manage classroom routines efficiently while maintaining safety protocols for toddler care, preschool activities, and daycare operations. Incorporate physical education activities to promote gross motor skills and overall health in young children. Maintain accurate records of attendance, progress reports, lesson plans, and behavioral observations in compliance with childcare regulations. Skills Extensive knowledge of early childhood education principles and classroom management techniques. Proven experience working with children across various age groups, including toddlers and preschoolers. Strong understanding of childhood development milestones and special education needs. Ability to develop engaging curriculum content that includes literacy education, math concepts, and hands-on activities. Familiarity with standardized testing procedures relevant to early childhood assessment. Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with parents, colleagues, and specialists in early intervention or child welfare. Experience in implementing Montessori methods or other child-centered pedagogies is a plus. Demonstrated ability to manage behavior positively while creating an inclusive environment for all children. Knowledge of classroom management tools and techniques to foster a productive learning environment. Passion for nurturing children's growth through tutoring support and physical education activities that promote holistic development.
