GED Full Job Description Position Summary:
The Part-Time Child Care Provider supports Any Baby Can's Parent Café sessions by providing safe, engaging, and developmentally appropriate care for children while their parents participate in guided conversations. This role plays an important part in helping families participate fully by ensuring children are well cared for in a nurturing and stimulating environment. The Parent Cafes will be held at Any Baby Can and various community locations and will be part-time, in mornings, evenings and possible occasional weekends.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide attentive supervision and care for children ages 0-12 during Parent Café sessions. Implement age-appropriate activities and curriculum that promote play, creativity, and social development. Set up and clean up the childcare space, toys, and materials before and after each event. Maintain a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment for all children. Communicate respectfully and effectively with parents, caregivers, and Any Baby Can staff. Follow all health, safety, and emergency procedures in accordance with Any Baby Can guidelines. Track attendance and support documentation as needed.
Qualifications:
High School diploma or equivalent required, some college hours preferred; plus a minimum of 2 years' experience working with children preferably in a childcare setting. Familiarity with child development and age-appropriate activities. Carry out duties in a manner that respects ethnic, cultural and language diversity. CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain). Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends. Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred. Must have reliable transportation. Must pass background check and required trainings per Any Baby Can policies. Ability to sit, stand, and kneel as necessary to fulfill daily duties assigned.
