Infant Teacher Job Summary:
The Infant Teacher is responsible for providing a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for infants from birth to 12 months (or according to program guidelines). This role supports each child's physical, emotional, cognitive, and social development through responsive caregiving, age-appropriate activities, and positive interactions with children and families.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide attentive, loving, and responsive care to infants throughout the day. Plan and implement developmentally appropriate learning activities that support early childhood development. Maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment. Follow individualized feeding, diapering, sleeping, and care schedules for each infant. Observe and document children's developmental progress and communicate regularly with families. Build positive relationships with parents by sharing daily updates and addressing concerns professionally. Ensure compliance with all licensing regulations, health and safety standards, and center policies. Promote children's social, emotional, language, and motor skill development through play and interaction. Work collaboratively with fellow teachers and staff to maintain a positive learning environment. Attend staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required; Child Development Associate (CDA), associate's degree, or bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field preferred. Previous experience working with infants in a licensed childcare or early learning setting preferred. CPR and First Aid certification (or ability to obtain upon hire). Knowledge of child development and developmentally appropriate practices. Strong communication, organization, and teamwork skills. Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and actively engage in daily classroom activities.

Work Environment:
