We are a growing preschool focused on creating a safe, positive, and engaging environment where children can learn, explore, and build confidence. Our program incorporates STEAM, Spanish, Sign Language, sensory experiences, and hands-on learning throughout the day. What We're Looking For We are looking for someone who genuinely enjoys working with young children and understands that being a preschool teacher means being actively present and engaged throughout the day. The ideal candidate will be patient, dependable, positive, and comfortable working as part of a team. Most importantly, we need someone who understands the importance of active supervision and maintaining a safe classroom environment at all times. Responsibilities Actively supervise children at all times, both indoors and outdoors Create a safe, nurturing, and positive classroom environment Engage with children through play, conversation, activities, and learning experiences Implement age-appropriate curriculum and classroom activities Assist with meals, diapering/toileting, nap time, and other daily routines as needed Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming classroom Communicate professionally and respectfully with families and coworkers Follow all childcare licensing requirements and center policies Work cooperatively with other teachers and assist throughout the center when needed Observe children and help support their social-emotional, physical, and developmental needs Qualifications Must be at least 18 years old High school diploma or equivalent required Previous childcare, preschool, or early childhood experience preferred Must be able to pass all required background checks Must be dependable and have reliable transportation Must be able to meet the physical demands of working with young children, including getting on the floor, lifting children when necessary, and participating in indoor and outdoor activities CPR/First Aid certification is preferred; training may be provided if needed The Person Who Will Thrive Here You may be a great fit for Innovative Minds if you are someone who: Loves interacting and playing with children Notices what is happening around the classroom and takes initiative Understands that supervision is one of the most important parts of the job Can accept feedback and use it to grow Helps teammates without always needing to be asked Brings a positive attitude to work Is reliable and understands how important consistent staffing is in childcare Wants to be part of a supportive team and contribute to a healthy workplace culture At Innovative Minds, we want our teachers to feel valued and supported while also maintaining high expectations for the care we provide.
