In this dynamic role, you will create engaging, nurturing environments for toddlers and school-aged children, fostering their social, emotional, cognitive, and physical growth. Responsibilities Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum plans that promote literacy, math, physical education, and overall childhood development. Manage classroom behavior using positive reinforcement strategies to create a safe, respectful learning environment. Provide attentive toddler care, including diapering, feeding, and engaging in sensory and motor activities tailored to early childhood needs. Lead after school programs by supervising children during homework time, recreational activities, and enrichment lessons. Communicate regularly with parents regarding children's progress, behavior, and milestones through updates and conferences. Ensure compliance with mandated reporting laws and maintain accurate documentation of incidents or concerns. Foster inclusive classroom environments that support special education needs and early intervention strategies when necessary. Experience Prior experience working with young children in educational or childcare settings is essential; preschool or private school experience is highly valued. Demonstrated knowledge of child development principles, classroom management techniques, and behavior management strategies. Experience developing curriculum content across subjects such as literacy education, math, physical education, and childhood welfare. Familiarity with early intervention programs and special education practices to support diverse learners. Strong communication skills for effective parent engagement and team collaboration. Certification in first aid and CPR is required; additional credentials in childhood development or early childhood education are preferred. Proven ability to manage classroom routines efficiently while maintaining a lively, positive atmosphere that encourages learning and growth.
