We are a faith-based, bilingual early learning center inspired by the Reggio Emilia approach. We believe children learn through meaningful relationships, exploration, creativity, play, and intentional learning experiences. We are looking for a teacher with strong classroom management skills and previous Pre-K experience who can create a positive, structured, engaging learning environment while preparing children socially, emotionally, and academically for Kindergarten. Responsibilities Provide a safe, nurturing, structured, and engaging Pre-K classroom environment. Demonstrate strong classroom management and positive behavior guidance skills . Maintain active supervision and required classroom ratios at all times. Create and implement developmentally appropriate weekly lesson plans . Provide intentional learning experiences in early literacy, math, science, language, art, sensory exploration, music, and movement. Support Kindergarten readiness while maintaining a play-based and developmentally appropriate approach. Encourage independence, problem-solving, creativity, communication, and social-emotional development. Incorporate Spanish and English meaningfully throughout the classroom environment and daily routine. Conduct circle time, small-group activities, learning centers, and hands-on experiences. Complete observations, assessments, portfolios, and required classroom documentation. Maintain a clean, organized, inviting, and intentionally prepared classroom . Communicate professionally with families regarding children's progress and classroom experiences. Work collaboratively with other teachers and administration. Follow Purposeful Learning Center policies and childcare licensing requirements. We Are Looking For Someone Who Is Bilingual in English and Spanish. Experienced working specifically with Pre-K/preschool-age children . Confident in classroom management and positive behavior guidance . Creative and comfortable developing lesson plans and learning activities. Organized and able to maintain classroom routines and structure. Self-motivated and able to take initiative without constant direction. Dependable, punctual, positive, and professional. Able to lead a classroom while working effectively as part of a team. Willing to receive feedback, learn, and grow professionally. Passionate about preparing children for Kindergarten while respecting how young children learn best. Qualifications Previous Pre-K or preschool classroom experience preferred . Experience with classroom management and lesson planning. Bilingual English/Spanish preferred. Knowledge or experience with the Reggio Emilia approach is a plus, but not required. Willingness to learn and implement Reggio Emilia-inspired practices. CPR/First Aid and childcare training preferred. CDA or Associate Degree in Early Childhood Education is a plus.
