Toddler Teacher purposeful learning center El Paso, TX Job Details Part-time | Full-time $8.50 - $10.00 an hour 10 hours ago Qualifications Spanish Teamwork Interpersonal skills English Child Development Associate Certification Full Job Description Purposeful Learning Center is looking for a caring, dependable, energetic, and motivated Toddler Teacher to join our team. We are a faith-based, bilingual early learning center inspired by the Reggio Emilia approach. We are looking for someone who enjoys working with toddlers, takes initiative, works well with others, and is willing to support fellow teachers to maintain a positive and engaging classroom environment. Responsibilities Provide loving, patient, and developmentally appropriate care for toddlers. Maintain active supervision and required classroom ratios at all times. Work collaboratively with and assist fellow teachers as needed throughout the day. Participate in learning centers, circle time, art, sensory activities, music, movement, outdoor play, and other learning experiences. Assist with implementing lesson plans and preparing classroom materials. Encourage language development, independence, social-emotional development, and age-appropriate self-help skills. Assist with diapering, potty training, meals, snacks, handwashing, and nap routines. Read, sing, talk, play, and actively engage with children throughout the day. Maintain a clean, organized, sanitized, and intentionally prepared classroom . Complete classroom documentation and children's daily records as assigned. Use positive behavior guidance and appropriate classroom management techniques. Communicate professionally with families, co-workers, and administration. Follow Purposeful Learning Center policies and childcare licensing requirements. We Are Looking For Someone Who Is Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred. Loving, patient, energetic, and nurturing. Dependable and punctual. A strong team player who is willing to help and support co-workers . Able to follow direction while also demonstrating initiative. Clean and organized in their work area. Creative and actively involved with the children. Positive and professional. Willing to learn, receive feedback, and grow professionally. Comfortable with diapering and potty training. Flexible and available to work different scheduled shifts between 8:00 AM and 6:00 PM based on the needs of the center. Qualifications Previous toddler or early childhood experience preferred. Classroom management experience is a plus. Experience with lesson plans and early learning activities is preferred. Knowledge or experience with the Reggio Emilia approach is a plus, but not required. Willingness to learn and implement Reggio Emilia-inspired practices. CPR/First Aid and childcare training preferred. CDA or Early Childhood Education coursework is a plus.
