Preschool Teacher Grandview, TX 76050 From $12 an hour - Part-time, Contract From $12 an hour - Part-time, Contract Overview Join our vibrant early childhood education team as a Preschool Teacher, where your passion for nurturing young minds will inspire curiosity, foster development, and create a joyful learning environment. In this role, you will design engaging lesson plans, support children's social and emotional growth, and collaborate with families to ensure each child's success. Your energetic approach and dedication will help lay the foundation for lifelong learning and discovery in a dynamic preschool setting. Responsibilities Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum that promotes early childhood development, literacy education, math skills, and physical activity. Create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment that encourages exploration and creativity. Manage classroom behavior through positive reinforcement strategies and effective behavior management techniques. Plan and execute daily lesson plans aligned with educational standards such as Montessori or other early childhood frameworks. Support children's social-emotional well-being by fostering positive interactions and addressing individual needs, including special education or early intervention requirements. Conduct assessments to monitor developmental progress and prepare reports for parents and guardians. Collaborate with colleagues to enhance classroom management practices and share best teaching strategies. Engage in ongoing professional development related to childhood development, childcare practices, and standardized testing procedures when applicable. Skills Strong knowledge of childhood development principles, early intervention strategies, and preschool education best practices. Experience with curriculum development tailored to toddlers, preschoolers, and children with special needs. Proficiency in classroom management techniques that promote a positive learning environment. Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with children, parents, and team members. Familiarity with teaching physical education, literacy education, math instruction, and Montessori methods is highly desirable. Ability to plan lessons that incorporate hands-on activities, tutoring techniques, and child welfare considerations. Prior experience working in daycare centers or private schools is preferred; certification in early childhood education is a plus.
