Job Description

The Director's Assistant provides administrative and operational support to the Director and the leadership team. This role helps ensure the smooth daily operations of the facility, supports staff and families, and maintains compliance with licensing regulations.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES ADMINISTRATIVE SUPPORT
Assist with daily administrative operations Maintain children's files, staff files, attendance, and required documentation Support enrolment, tours, waitlists, and registration Assist with scheduling, staff communication, and office organization Answer phones, emails, and parent inquiries professionally Prepare reports, forms, and meeting notes, and center correspondence
DAILY CENTER OPERATIONS.
Assist with opening and closing procedures Support classroom coverage and staffing flow throughout the day Help monitor ratios and classroom transitions Assist leadership with maintaining daily operations and organization Support with supplies, classroom prep, and operational needs
LICENSING & COMPLIANCE SUPPORT
Assist with maintaining compliance with childcare licensing requirements Help ensure required documentation is organized and up to date Support preparation for inspections, audits, and licensing reviews Maintain awareness of policies, procedures, and operational standards
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum 3+ years of experience in administrative assistance/support Previous experience working within a licensed childcare facility preferred Familiar with childcare licensing regulation and compliance requirements Familiar with administrative duties within a childcare setting Strong organization and time-management skills Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment Professional verbal and written communication skills Reliable transportation available Willing to travel within the Walker County area Flexible availability
PREFERRED SKILLS
Experience supporting Directors or leadership teams Strong filing, paperwork management, and office organization Staff scheduling or staffing support experience Parent communication/ customer service experience Ability to support both office operations and classroom needs when necessary Certificate in first aid and
CPR Diploma/GED Pay:
$10.00 - $14.00 per hour
