Preschool/Pre-K 3 Lead Teacher Position Summary The Preschool/Pre-K 3 Lead Teacher is responsible for creating a nurturing, Christ-centered learning environment that supports children's spiritual, social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development. The Lead Teacher plans and implements daily lessons, maintains a safe and engaging classroom, communicates with families, and supervises classroom support staff. Key ResponsibilitiesCurriculum & Classroom Management Plan and implement age-appropriate lessons and activities aligned with Faith Lutheran School's curriculum. Foster children's development through positive guidance and Conscious Discipline practices. Maintain a safe, organized, and welcoming classroom environment. Document children's progress, attendance, and incident reports as required. Ensure compliance with Texas Minimum Standards and school policies. Family & Staff Collaboration Communicate regularly with parents regarding their child's progress and classroom activities. Supervise, mentor, and support assistant teachers and aides. Participate in staff meetings, training, school events, and parent conferences. Report concerns regarding children, staff, facilities, or safety to the Director. Health & Safety Maintain a clean and safe classroom and playground environment. Follow all health, safety, and emergency procedures. Administer CPR/First Aid when necessary and ensure children use equipment safely. Qualifications Meet all Texas licensing requirements for education and experience. Minimum two years of early childhood education experience preferred. Strong communication and classroom management skills. Ability to model Christian values and support the mission of Faith Lutheran School. Complete 24 hours of annual professional development training. Physical Requirements Must be able to lift and carry children, bend, stoop, and actively participate in classroom and outdoor activities. Schedule Monday-Friday | 7:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m.
