Certified Childcare Educator for Toddlers (12-18 months to 3 years) The Learning Tree Development Child Care Center Jasper, TX 75951 Up to $15.41 an hour - Part-time, Full-time Up to $15.41 an hour - Part-time, Full-time Job Overview We are seeking a passionate, dependable, and dedicated Certified Childcare Educator specializing in toddler care (12-18 months to 3 years) to join our early childhood education team. In this role, you will create a nurturing, safe, and stimulating environment that encourages curiosity, independence, and healthy growth during one of the most exciting stages of early childhood development. The ideal candidate is compassionate, patient, highly organized, and committed to providing individualized care that supports each toddler's unique developmental, emotional, social, and educational needs. Responsibilities Provide attentive, compassionate care to toddlers, ensuring their physical, emotional, social, and developmental needs are met each day. Create and implement age-appropriate lesson plans, daily schedules, and engaging activities that promote language development, cognitive skills, creativity, fine and gross motor development, and social-emotional learning. Encourage independence by supporting self-help skills, including feeding, toileting, handwashing, dressing, and classroom routines as developmentally appropriate. Maintain a safe, clean, organized, and stimulating classroom environment that meets all health and safety standards. Observe, document, and communicate each child's developmental milestones, daily activities, and individual progress. Adapt classroom activities and teaching strategies to meet the unique needs and learning styles of each child. Use positive guidance and age-appropriate behavior management techniques to encourage cooperation, emotional regulation, and respectful interactions. Respond quickly and calmly to changing situations while maintaining a positive learning environment. Build positive, professional relationships with parents and guardians through regular communication. Work collaboratively with fellow educators and staff members. Follow all facility policies and procedures, including health, sanitation, emergency preparedness, mandated reporting requirements, and licensing regulations. Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal childcare licensing requirements and minimum standards. QualificationsRequired Must possess or be able to obtain all required local, state, and national childcare certifications before or within the required timeframe after hire. High school diploma or equivalent (Early Childhood Education coursework, CDA, or degree preferred). Ability to pass all required background checks and screenings. Strong attention to detail with the ability to recognize and respond to the individual needs of each child. Ability to think quickly, adapt to changing situations, and remain calm under pressure. Strong organizational, communication, and teamwork skills. Commitment to providing exceptional care in a professional childcare environment. Preferred At least one (1) year of experience working with toddlers in a licensed childcare center, daycare, preschool, or similar setting is preferred but not required . Current CPR and Pediatric First Aid certification, or willingness to obtain upon hire. Knowledge of toddler development, classroom management, developmental milestones, and early childhood education best practices. Experience supporting children with varying developmental needs is a plus.
