Certified Childcare Educator for Preschoolers (3 to 5 years) The Learning Tree Development Child Care Center Jasper, TX 75951 Up to $15.41 an hour - Part-time, Full-time Up to $15.41 an hour - Part-time, Full-time Job Overview We are seeking a passionate, dependable, and dedicated Certified Preschool Educator specializing in children ages 3 to 5 years to join our early childhood education team. In this role, you will create a nurturing, engaging, and stimulating classroom environment that fosters school readiness, creativity, confidence, and a lifelong love of learning. The ideal candidate is compassionate, patient, energetic, and highly organized, with a strong commitment to supporting each child's cognitive, emotional, social, language, and physical development. This is an excellent opportunity for educators who enjoy preparing preschoolers for kindergarten through hands-on learning, structured routines, and meaningful play experiences in a collaborative and supportive childcare environment. Responsibilities Provide attentive, nurturing care while ensuring the physical, emotional, social, and developmental needs of every preschool child are met. Create and implement engaging, age-appropriate lesson plans aligned with early childhood education standards and kindergarten readiness goals. Foster language development, early literacy, math, science, social studies, creative arts, and problem-solving skills through play-based and teacher-guided instruction. Encourage independence by supporting self-help skills, responsibility, decision-making, classroom routines, and cooperative learning. Promote positive social interactions, emotional regulation, conflict resolution, and respect for others using age-appropriate guidance techniques. Prepare children for kindergarten by developing foundational academic, communication, and critical thinking skills. Observe, assess, and document each child's developmental progress, learning milestones, and classroom participation. Adapt instructional strategies and classroom activities to accommodate diverse learning styles, abilities, and developmental needs. Maintain a safe, clean, organized, and engaging classroom environment that meets all health, safety, and licensing standards. Build positive, professional relationships with parents and guardians through regular communication regarding student progress, daily activities, and developmental achievements. Collaborate effectively with fellow educators, administrators, and support staff to provide a consistent, high-quality learning environment. Follow all facility policies and procedures regarding health, sanitation, emergency preparedness, mandated reporting, and childcare licensing regulations. Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal childcare licensing requirements and minimum standards. QualificationsRequired Must possess or be able to obtain all required local, state, and national childcare certifications before or within the required timeframe after hire. High school diploma or equivalent required (Coursework in Early Childhood Education, CDA Credential, Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred). Ability to pass all required background checks and screenings. Strong understanding of preschool-aged children's developmental needs. Excellent communication, organization, classroom management, and teamwork skills. Ability to remain calm, patient, flexible, and solution-oriented in a dynamic classroom environment. Commitment to providing exceptional early childhood education in a safe, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment. Preferred At least one (1) year of experience teaching preschool-aged children in a licensed childcare center, daycare, preschool, or similar educational setting is preferred but not required. Current CPR and Pediatric First Aid certification, or willingness to obtain upon hire. Knowledge of early learning standards, kindergarten readiness, developmental milestones, and play-based instructional practices. Experience supporting children with varying developmental abilities and learning needs is a plus. Familiarity with developmental assessments, classroom documentation, and family engagement practices.
