Job Description:
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Nursery Teacher to join our NAEYC and Texas Rising Star accredited early childhood education center. The ideal candidate will have a genuine love for working with infants/young toddlers (6 weeks - 17 months) and a commitment to providing high-quality, developmentally appropriate care in a nurturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide attentive, compassionate care for infants, ensuring their safety, health, and well-being. Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that promote infants' cognitive, emotional, social, and physical development. Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment where each child feels safe and valued. Work collaboratively with co-teachers and other staff to maintain a high standard of care and educational quality. Communicate regularly with parents about their child's development, daily activities, and any concerns. Maintain a clean, organized, and stimulating classroom environment in accordance with health and safety guidelines. Adhere to all NAEYC and Texas Rising Star standards and regulations, as well as Texas' Minimum Standards for Child Care Centers.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field preferred. Must meet Texas state licensing requirements for a childcare teacher. Experience working with infants in a childcare setting is strongly preferred. Knowledge of infant development and experience with lesson planning. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Current CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire). Passion for early childhood education and commitment to providing high-quality care.
