Job Overview Hill Country Arts Academy is seeking a passionate and energetic Pre-kindergarten (Pre-K) Teacher to join our arts-integrated academic program serving PreK-3 and PreK-4 students. Our ideal candidate is someone who loves early childhood education, thrives in a joyful and structured classroom environment, and is excited to teach through movement, music, storytelling and hands-on exploration. About Hill Country Arts Academy Preschool Program Our preschool program blends strongly early academics with daily performing and visual arts. Children learn through multisensory, developmentally intentional experiences that build early literacy, numeracy, social-emotional skills, creativity and confidence. Arts-integrated curriculum Small class sizes Warm, school-based environment Highly trained educators Daily music, movement and visual arts Literature-rich instruction Whole-child development at center of every decision Position Overview The preschool teacher leads a classroom of 3 and 4-year old students in a structured, nurturing, and arts-rich learning environment. Teachers at HCAA are expected to be interactive, hands-on, and fully engaged with children throughout the day- this is not a sit behind a desk role. Responsibilities Implement a multi-sensory art-integrated curriculum that includes music, movement, visual arts, dramatic play and hands-on learning. Read aloud to children multiple times per day, using expressive storytelling and using interactive literacy strategies. Sing, dance, move and and participate enthusiastically in daily creative activities. Foster a warm, structured classroom culture that supports independence, curiosity and social-emotional growth. Plan and deliver developmentally appropriate lessons in the early literacy, numeracy, science and thematic exploration. Maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment aligned with school expectations. Communicate regularly and professionally with families and colleagues. Support school-wide arts, events, performances and community activities. Qualifications High school diploma or GED First Aid & CPR Certification Pass a background check Expierience working with preschool aged children Strong classroom management rooted in warmth, structure and developmental understanding Comfort with singing, movement, storytelling, and creative expression Ability to implement hands-on child-centered, arts integrated instruction Passion for early childhood education and whole-child development Reliable, professional and committed to excellence
Pay:
$11.00 - $15.00 per hour
