- Part-time Job Summary We are seeking passionate and dedicated MDO Teachers to nurture and educate children aged 16 to 24 months and 2-year-olds.
In this role, you will create a vibrant, safe, and engaging learning environment that promotes early childhood development. Your enthusiasm and expertise will inspire young learners, support their social-emotional growth, and lay the foundation for lifelong learning. You will collaborate with families and team members to deliver developmentally appropriate activities that foster curiosity, independence, and joy in learning. Duties Develop and implement age-appropriate curricula that incorporate literacy education, math, and physical education. Plan engaging lesson plans that promote cognitive, social, emotional, and physical growth tailored to the unique needs of toddlers and preschoolers. Manage classroom environments effectively to ensure safety, positive behavior management, and smooth daily routines. Support children with special education needs or those requiring early intervention services by adapting activities and collaborating with specialists. Foster strong communication with parents and guardians through regular updates on children's progress and developmental milestones. Incorporate classroom management strategies to maintain a respectful, inclusive atmosphere conducive to learning and exploration. Conduct assessments using standardized testing methods when appropriate to monitor developmental progress and inform instruction. Engage children in activities that promote literacy skills, social interaction, motor skills development, and early math concepts. Maintain accurate records of attendance, developmental observations, lesson plans, and incident reports in compliance with childcare standards. Experience Prior classroom experience working with children aged 16 months to preschool age is essential; experience specifically in toddler care or preschool settings is highly preferred. Demonstrated knowledge of childhood development theories, behavior management techniques, and early childhood education best practices. Experience developing curriculum plans that incorporate literacy education, math skills, physical education, and Montessori methods is advantageous. Strong communication skills for engaging effectively with children, parents, colleagues, and specialists. Previous daycare or childcare experience in private schools or early childhood centers will be considered an asset. Certification in early childhood education or related fields, such as childhood development or special education, is desirable; ongoing professional development is encouraged.
