Job Description
Infant Co-Lead Teacher We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Co-Lead Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and possess the skills necessary to create a nurturing and stimulating learning environment for children. This role involves overseeing classroom activities, developing curriculum, and ensuring that each child's educational needs are met while fostering their social and emotional growth. Duties Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with educational standards and cater to diverse learning styles. Manage classroom behavior effectively, utilizing positive reinforcement strategies to promote a conducive learning atmosphere. Collaborate with other educators and specialists to support students with special needs, including those with autism and developmental disabilities. Conduct assessments and maintain records of student progress, including IEP documentation for students requiring individualized education plans. Foster communication with parents regarding student development, classroom activities, and any concerns that may arise. Utilize learning technology to enhance instructional delivery and engage students in interactive learning experiences. Provide early intervention strategies for children who may require additional support in literacy, math, or behavioral health. Create a safe and inclusive environment that respects diversity and encourages all students to thrive. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Special Education, or a related field is preferred. Proven experience working with children in a classroom setting, particularly in preschool or daycare environments. Strong understanding of childhood development principles and effective behavior management techniques. Familiarity with curriculum development processes and experience implementing various teaching methodologies, including Montessori approaches. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with students, parents, and colleagues. Experience in teaching physical education or literacy education is a plus. Knowledge of standardized testing procedures and the ability to adapt teaching strategies based on assessment results is beneficial. Certification or training in speech therapy or behavioral therapy would be advantageous but not required.
