Preschool Twos Teacher

Two's -Teachers. We are looking for Minimum of 2+ years Experience as Toddler teacher Experience Minimum 2 years of experience in early childhood education or related field. At least 1 year of experience working with the assigned age group (preferred). Meets all experience criteria required by the State of Texas. Education & Certifications Meets all education requirements mandated by the State of Texas. Associate's degree in Early Childhood Education or equivalent preferred. CPR and First Aid Certification (or willingness to obtain within two weeks of being hired). Child Development Associate (CDA) or Child Development Permit (preferred). General Responsibilities Engage with current and prospective parents, responding to needs promptly. Ensure compliance with BK policies and all licensing regulations. Fulfill mandated reporter responsibilities. Maintain open communication with the Director regarding child safety and care. Complete documentation accurately and on time. Use time efficiently and take initiative when appropriate. Assist with center duties as needed in the absence of other staff. Attend staff meetings, parent meetings, and center events. Model and uphold BK's philosophy and curriculum. Maintain accreditation standards and licensing compliance at all times. Greet children and parents warmly at drop-off and pick-up. Demonstrate initiative in decision-making, crisis management, and transitions. Model professional behavior and uphold dress code standards. Support BK's mission and values at all times. Program Responsibilities Complete child evaluations and conduct parent conferences. Contribute to monthly newsletters. Assign responsibilities to co-workers when appropriate. Notify parents promptly of illness, injury, or notable changes in their child. Plan, implement, and regularly update curriculum and materials. Maintain annual child portfolios. Ensure balanced daily schedules (indoor/outdoor, quiet/active, individual/group, staff-initiated/child-initiated activities). Encourage staff input on curriculum, environment, and program improvements. Maintain positive, engaging learning environments. Seek guidance on child development issues when necessary. Participate in ongoing professional development. Classroom Responsibilities Coordinate classroom duties with other Teachers and Assistant Teachers. Ensure compliance with child-teacher ratios at all times. Maintain accurate attendance and supervision records. Organize classroom for safe and effective supervision. Perform and delegate housekeeping tasks to maintain health and safety (e.g., wiping spills, clearing debris). Participate in safety drills with children. Team & Family Interactions Foster teamwork and collaboration to address challenges. Resolve conflicts respectfully and fairly. Share and apply child development knowledge. Communicate concerns promptly and constructively. Support team decisions and act as a resource to others. Build positive relationships with children, families, and co-workers. Physical Demands & Work Environment Work primarily in an active classroom environment, with occasional off-site activities. Lift up to 40 lbs. and stand for extended periods (up to 95% of the workday). Frequently bend, stoop, sit on the floor, and move quickly between positions. Participate in active play, including dancing, running, jumping, and walking. Perform duties indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions. Maintain adequate hearing and vision to ensure child safety. Work schedule may vary to meet the needs of children and families.
