Job Description
We're not a traditional kennel. We're a private, cage-free dog hotel where quality of care always comes before quantity of dogs. We intentionally keep our groups manageable so every guest receives personalized attention, safe playgroups, and the kind of love we'd want for our own dogs. Alongside caring for our dog guests, we also care for a small animal sanctuary with ducks, geese, goats, chickens, and other farm animals. Every day is different, and every member of our team plays an important role in making sure both our animals and our property are cared for with pride. If you're looking for an easy job playing with puppies all day, this probably isn't it. If you're looking for meaningful work where your effort truly matters, we'd love to meet you. What You'll Do Every day looks a little different, but responsibilities include: Supervising safe dog playgroups Monitoring dog behavior, health, and overall well-being Cleaning and sanitizing indoor and outdoor play areas Feeding dogs and administering routine medications Laundry, dishes, and keeping the facility organized Caring for ducks, geese, goats, chickens, and other sanctuary animals Yard work, poop patrol, watering, leaf removal, and general property upkeep Assisting with baths, nail trims, enrichment activities, and special events Greeting clients during drop-off and pick-up appointments Learning our dog evaluation process Helping open or close the facility when scheduled Training & Growth Every new Kennel Technician starts by learning alongside an experienced Lead Aunty. As you gain confidence and demonstrate good judgment, you'll be trained to independently conduct client appointments, perform dog evaluations, and manage opening or closing responsibilities when needed. We hire for attitude, work ethic, and reliability. We'll teach the rest. We're Looking for Someone Who... Loves animals but understands safety comes first Learns quickly and takes initiative Works with urgency and pays attention to detail Can multitask in a fast-paced environment Is dependable, honest, and drama-free Enjoys working both indoors and outdoors Is comfortable handling dogs of all breeds and sizes Takes pride in keeping things clean, organized, and running smoothly Wants to be part of a team that truly cares Physical Requirements This is a physically active position.
