to provide the highest quality of early childhood care and education to the families of Montgomery and adjacent areas. We are a child- lead learning center that incorporates a Montessori style learning, the practice of Conscious Discipline, loose parts play, and use the Reggio Emilia approach. We are looking for an experienced preschool teacher. Our ideal teacher is creative, adaptable and resourceful. You will be required to plan and implement a weekly curriculum that is well rounded and appropriate for each child's learning needs. Your day will consist of rotating between 4 classrooms throughout the day, (Letter Land, Technology Lab, STEM Lab, and Art Studio) and outside play time. You will receive between 1-2 hours of planning time a week to ensure you are prepared for the week ahead. Participation in the Montgomery parade, pictures with Santa, open house, staff trainings, holiday celebrations at the school are required.

Qualifications:

Must meet basic requirements of the Department of Family and Protective Services Licensing Division. Must have at least 1 full year of Lead or 2 years Assistant Teacher experience in a licensed childcare facility in a preschool classroom, a Degree in Teaching/ Child development, or proven combination of experience and education in child development. The understanding of conscious discipline, loose parts play, Reggio Emilia, and Montessori learning experience is a plus. (This is a requirement of our school to learn these approaches.

TRAINING IS PROVIDED

) Must be at least 18 years of Age and have graduated High School or obtained a GED. Starting pay is $14.00 but is negotiable based on experience, education and Skill sets.
